Anyhow, off to set the weekend's Premiership Fantasy team. Then the Leafs and Capitals, and is it just me or are the Capitals the only thing keeping Washington ahead of Toronto in the race for the crappiest pro sports city in North America?
Now, the e-mails ….
I was always anti DH. To me the National League played real baseball. I changed my mind when I saw pitchers get unnecessarily injured batting and running the bases. Now I don't know. On the one hand there is something very special about the managerial moves that have to be made in the National - a game can hinge on what's done with that batting spot. On the other hand, cheap baseball jerseys, The AL game appears faster and less complicated, nfl jerseys, not to mention safer for pitchers. That having been said, nfl wholesale jerseys china A 'fever' in housing market, why Latin America's a hotbed - The Globe and Mail_2, baseball is the only major sport still played as it was played in the twenties, nfl jerseys from china Admirers flocking to Mine That Bird o, in the National League, michael kors bags Als, Lions lead selections - The Globe and Mail_3,cheap super bowl jerseys, at least. Of course it's a better show with the DH! For that matter, why not have a defensive and an offensive nine like in football. Can you imagine only being allowed to substitute the QB after a punt?

...it's nice that it may finally be adopted by the National League, but I always believed that the reason the NL didn't go along in the first place, had less to do with maintaining "strategy", but it was to stem the tide of "gimmicks" in baseball. We have to remember this was the time of Charlie Finley, cheap nfl jerseys china, new colourful uniforms, Herb Washington ( a DR!!) and orange baseballs. There was also some talk (from Finley) about changing the ball/strike ratio from 4/3 to 3/2 to speed things up and two platoon baseball. I've always thought the National League didn't adopt the DH because they thought it was a slippery slope to the changes mentioned earlier, wholesale michael kors purses, which obviously never happened. If there was some agreement about this back then, I feel the NL would gone along with the DH... _________________ ray ban sunglasses |
